Get involved with exploring the history of the School grounds, from the Iron Age to the present day. We will be mostly outdoors, doing small digs and using a metal detector. Any finds will be researched and added to the history of Longridge.

Throughout this Photography enrichment, you will have opportunities to develop your understanding, knowledge and skills associated with Photography through mini-projects. At the end of an enrichment activity, you should know and understand more about key aspects of Photography. If taking Art GCSE/A-Level, Photography work produced can be included in portfolio work. Students will be required to have their own camera (not a phone).

Learn to use torque wrenches, mole grips, ratchets, spanners, screwdrivers and hammers by means of servicing a small car. Discover some real engineering about screw threads, bearings, gaskets, levers and oil. (Overalls and gloves will be provided.) The school has a small Daewoo car donated by Mr Dodd and working in two groups the pupils will carefully service the car for an MOT test.
This club is aimed at those who want to learn how to play chess, get better at playing chess and participate in U19 tournaments.
This enrichment is for students who have signed up for DofE with Mr Massie. During this session, students will undertake physical training, in preparation for their expedition. This could be used in part for the physical section of the DofE
Inspired by the Great Tapestry of Scotland, join Mrs. Handley and Mr. Jones and help tell the story of Longridge Towers while further developing your embroidery skills.
Whether you can already play golf and would like to brush up your skills or you have never swung a club and would like to learn, this activity could be for you. Led by Rory Antrobus (hoping to complete his coaching award) and Campbell Thompson with Mrs Smith. We are hoping to have at least one afternoon at a local golf course.

The GSA (Gender and Sexual Orientation Alliance), is a group that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ young people and allies. We'll set goals for the group, look back at LGBTQ+ history, learn about making zines, and look at self care and allyship.
